KENNETH “KENNY” BOHANNON, Principal Attorney
As a native of Volusia County, Kenny attended Stetson University and received his Bachelors of Arts in Political Science in 2003, with minors in Sociology and Electronic Business Technology. After completing his undergraduate studies, Kenny traveled to more than twenty countries before enrolling in Stetson’s Juris Doctor program in St. Petersburg, Florida. Mr. Bohannon returned to his home town of New Smyrna Beach to establish Kenneth Bohannon, P.L., after finishing his Juris Doctor program in only two and a half years.
Kenny is recognized as a leader within the Stetson University Law School J.D. program. He was admitted to both the Florida Bar Association and the United States District Court for the Middle District Florida in 2006, and is also a Board member of the Volusia County Bar Association.
MICHAEL, “MIKE” LYONS, Associate Attorney
A Volusia County native, Mike attended New Smyrna Beach High School, Daytona State College, and Stetson University. During his time at New Smyrna and Daytona State, he was also a lifeguard for Volusia County Beach Safety and competed in a wide range of swimming and lifesaving competitions up to the national level. At Stetson University in Deland, Mike earned his Bachelors of Business Administration in 2013.
Before enrolling at Stetson’s College of Law in St. Petersburg, he traveled extensively through the central and southern Bahamas living on a boat and continued to live on the boat throughout law school. During his time in the Juris Doctorate program, Mike received the William F. Blews Pro Bono Service Award for exceptional pro bono service.
Mike moved back to New Smyrna, was admitted to the Florida Bar, and began work at Kenneth Bohannon, P.L. in 2016. Mike focuses on civil litigation and family law for the firm.
ASHLEY CANATA, Paralegal
Prior to joining Kenneth Bohannon, P.L. in August of 2011, Ashley obtained her degree in Paralegal Studies from Daytona State College. She graduated from the paralegal program with honors in May of 2010. Ashley enjoys all aspect of legal work and is eager to broaden her knowledge by working on a variety of cases.
She has worked in various areas of laws, but now focuses on real estate, probate, civil litigation and business law. Ashley has attended numerous courses in probate and real estate law, including the Fund Affiliate Program and continues to attend the Fund Affiliate Assembly once each year to stay on top of developing real estate issues.
In her free time, Ashley enjoys spending time with her family, reading and participating in outdoor activities.
SHI ANNE MOORE, Paralegal
Shi Anne’s background began in Jacksonville, Florida in 2002 working for large firms in areas of law such as personal injury and environmental law.
She was born and raised in Volusia County, Florida and attended New Smyrna Beach High School. In 2002, she pursued her Associates degree in Legal Assisting. She received her Bachelor’s degree with honors in 2008 in Paralegal Studies and obtained her National Certification accreditation through the National Association of Legal Assistants in 2011.
Since 2015, Shi Anne has been assisting our clients in family law, estate planning, landlord/tenant, foreclosure, guardian ad litem and deed preparation matters.
LINDA BOHANNON, Office Manager
Linda is the Office Manager for Kenneth Bohannon, P.L. and brings with her 26 years of legal secretary experience.
Linda joined the law firm in 2010. Her responsibilities encompass many aspects of our firm including maintaining accounts payable, accounts receivable and monthly billing. She is also responsible for personnel matters and supplies.
In her spare time, Linda enjoys spending time with her family, friends, going to the beach and boating.
